POS software: NF525 cash register
for repair shops
A cash register designed for smartphone repairers: tamper-proof fiscal journal, SHA-256 chaining, automatic Z-reports, multi-rate VAT. Ready for a tax audit from day one.
The real NF525 stakes for a repair shop
Since 1 January 2018, any VAT-registered business using POS software must be able to prove the immutability of its records. For a smartphone repair shop, this means every spare-part sale, every job invoice, every counter payment must be written into a tamper-proof fiscal journal.
Many repairers still use spreadsheets, paper notebooks, or generic software that fails the four NF525 criteria: immutability, security, retention and archiving. In an audit, the fine can reach €7,500 per non-compliant piece of software, plus a challenge to the declared revenue.
FixVault was architected from day one around NF525 compliance, not as an “option to enable”. Each fiscal entry is cryptographically chained to the previous one; any attempt to alter it breaks the chain and becomes immediately detectable.

FAQ - NF525 cash register
What is the NF525 standard and who must comply with it?+
NF525 is the French standard governing POS software. Since 2018, any VAT-registered professional recording payments through POS software must use a compliant solution: data immutability, security, retention and archiving. Smartphone repair shops are directly concerned.
Is FixVault a certified NF525 POS software?+
FixVault implements all NF525 requirements: an append-only fiscal journal, SHA-256 chaining of every entry (sequenceNum, entryType, amount, date, previousHash), daily Z-reports, archiving, and user traceability. Everything is auditable and verifiable at any time from the interface.
How is a Z-report generated with FixVault?+
The Z-report is triggered in one click at end of day. FixVault automatically computes the VAT breakdown by rate, the detail by payment method (card, cash, transfer, Stripe, PayPal, Klarna…), the sales total and the cash-drawer total. The Z is sequentially numbered (Z-####) and archived as a tamper-proof PDF.
What happens during a tax audit?+
In a few clicks, FixVault provides all the documents required by the tax authorities: the full fiscal journal, Z-reports, cryptographic-chaining proofs, accounting export, and cash-session history. All entries are tamper-proof thanks to SHA-256 chaining.
Can several cash registers be used in the same shop?+
Yes. FixVault handles multiple registers (CashRegister) with individual cash sessions (CS-####), open/close per operator, cash-drawer reconciliation, and centralized fiscal consolidation.
